BPA Performing Arts is a degree in music, dance or theatre. You train in a performing art and study its theory and history. It leads to work as a performer or teacher, and to further study.
According to the CUET UG 2026 data, 3 central universities list a BPA course: Assam University, Silchar (AUS), IGNTU and the University of Allahabad. The papers asked are the General Aptitude Test, English, Performing Arts and Hindi.
The rules differ. IGNTU lists only the General Aptitude Test. AUS asks for English, the General Aptitude Test and Performing Arts. The University of Allahabad asks for English or Hindi, the General Aptitude Test and any one domain subject from 23 papers.
The Class 12 rules also differ. IGNTU asks for 10+2 in any discipline with 45% aggregate. AUS asks for a 10+2 pass with no minimum percentage. The University of Allahabad asks for Music as a subject at Intermediate level, or an equivalent Music examination.
Tip: the General Aptitude Test is on all three lists, so prepare it first. Then add English and Performing Arts.
