BSc Chemistry is a science degree where you study organic, inorganic and physical chemistry, with a lot of lab work. It leads to a master's degree in chemistry or a related science.
In CUET UG 2026, 16 central universities list BSc Chemistry. The papers asked most often are Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Biology, then English and the General Aptitude Test. Some universities ask only for Chemistry, for example CTUAP, CU Kashmir, GGU and Nagaland University. Others ask for Chemistry, Physics and either Mathematics or Biology, for example CUJ, CUK, CURAJ and CUTN. MZU asks for English plus Chemistry, and DU asks for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics plus a language. BHU splits the course into a Bio group and a Maths group.
Most universities want Class 12 Science with Chemistry and a minimum aggregate between 45% and 60%. Tip: taking Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics (or Biology) in CUET keeps you eligible at most of these universities.
