BSc Mathematics is a three- or four-year degree in pure and applied mathematics. You study calculus, algebra, analysis and statistics. It leads to a master's degree, teaching, data work and exam preparation for many careers.
According to the CUET UG 2026 data, 13 central universities list BSc Mathematics, including BHU, the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ), Pondicherry University and the University of Delhi (DU). Mathematics is the paper asked most often. Physics and Chemistry come next, then English and the General Aptitude Test.
Some universities ask only for Mathematics. Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGU), Nagaland University and Pondicherry University follow this. Others want a science group: BHU and CUJ ask for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, while Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) asks for Mathematics and Physics. Mizoram University asks for English and Mathematics. North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) asks for English plus either Mathematics or the General Aptitude Test. DU uses a list of combinations with a language paper.
Tip: take the Mathematics paper first. It appears in almost every rule on this page.
