BSc is a bachelor's degree in science. You study subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Computer Science, and the degree leads to further study or to jobs that need a science background.
For CUET UG 2026, 34 central universities list BSc programmes, 221 in all, and most of them are Honours programmes. The papers asked most often are Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, English and the General Aptitude Test. The rules change a lot from one programme to the next. BHU, for example, asks for Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics for BSc Physics, and Biology, Chemistry and Physics for BSc Botany. DU, CUK and CUJ each have their own sets. Mathematics is listed in 102 of the 221 programmes, and the General Aptitude Test in 55.
Some programmes add more steps. DU's BSc Physical Education, Health Education and Sports also needs a performance-based test, and BHU sets an age limit of 22 years on 1 July 2026 for some courses. Pick the exact subject you want, such as BSc Physics or BSc Botany, and read that course's rule before choosing your CUET papers.
