Integrated MA English is a five-year course that combines a BA and an MA in English. You read English and world literature, study how language works, and practise critical writing.
In CUET UG 2026, 4 central universities list this course: CUSB, MGCUB, Tezpur University and Tripura University. The General Aptitude Test is asked at all four. MGCUB and Tripura University ask only for the General Aptitude Test. CUSB asks for the General Aptitude Test and English. Tezpur University asks for English plus the General Aptitude Test, and structures the course as 4+1 years under NEP 2020.
Eligibility is Class 12 or equivalent. MGCUB and Tezpur University accept any stream. CUSB, MGCUB and Tripura University ask for 50% marks, and Tezpur University asks for 60% with General English as a compulsory subject. Tip: the General Aptitude Test plus English covers all four.
