BA Anthropology is a degree about human beings: how societies, cultures, languages and communities grow and change, and how humans developed over time. It leads to research, teaching, development work and civil services preparation.
According to the CUET UG 2026 data, 4 central universities list BA Anthropology: the Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ), GGU, NEHU and RGU. The General Aptitude Test and the Anthropology paper are the ones most often asked.
The rules are simple. CUJ and GGU list only the General Aptitude Test. NEHU asks for English plus either Anthropology or the General Aptitude Test. RGU accepts any one of its 26 domain papers, and it offers the course both through the university itself and through affiliated colleges.
Class 12 rules are also open. CUJ accepts 10+2 in any stream with 50% aggregate (45% for reserved categories). GGU asks for 50% aggregate at 10+2. NEHU and RGU ask for a pass in Class 12.
Tip: the General Aptitude Test is the one paper that works for CUJ, GGU and NEHU.
