BA Korean is a language degree. You learn to read, write and speak Korean and study Korean literature, history and society.
In CUET UG 2026, 4 central universities list BA Korean: CUJ, JMI, JNU and EFLU. The General Aptitude Test is asked at all four. CUJ and JMI ask only for the General Aptitude Test. JNU makes both English and the General Aptitude Test compulsory. EFLU accepts any one of 13 language papers plus the General Aptitude Test. None of the four lists a Korean paper.
Eligibility is Class 12 with 45% to 50% marks. CUJ accepts any stream. JMI looks at the best 5 papers, and EFLU needs English as a Class 12 subject. Tip: the General Aptitude Test plus an English paper keeps you eligible at all four.

Selection: 80% of BA (Hons) seats are for those who passed 10+2 in 2025 or appear in 2026; 20% are open to all. 10+1 pattern students need first year of a 10+1+3 bachelor's with 45%. OBC non-creamy layer get a 10% relaxation in marks. SC/ST and PwD candidates who have passed the qualifying exam may appear whatever their percentage.
