BA Russian is a degree in the Russian language, literature and culture. You learn to read, write and speak Russian and study the history and society of Russia and nearby countries. It leads to translation, teaching, research and work in international fields.
According to the CUET UG 2026 data, 4 central universities list BA Russian: AMU, JNU, EFLU and the University of Delhi (DU). The papers asked are English, Hindi and the General Aptitude Test.
The usual pattern is a language paper plus the General Aptitude Test. AMU and JNU ask for English and the General Aptitude Test, and JNU treats both as compulsory. EFLU accepts any one of its 13 language papers with the General Aptitude Test. DU uses combinations: one language and three other subjects, or two languages and two other subjects.
Class 12 rules differ a little. AMU asks for 50% aggregate (or its Bridge Course certificate), JNU asks for 45%, and EFLU asks for 50% with English as one of your subjects.

Selection: 80% of BA (Hons) seats are for those who passed 10+2 in 2025 or appear in 2026; 20% are open to all. 10+1 pattern students need first year of a 10+1+3 bachelor's with 45%. OBC non-creamy layer get a 10% relaxation in marks. SC/ST and PwD candidates who have passed the qualifying exam may appear whatever their percentage.
