BA Spanish is a degree in the Spanish language, literature and culture. You learn to read, write and speak Spanish and study the history and society of Spain and Latin America. It leads to translation, teaching, research and jobs in companies that work with Spanish-speaking countries.
According to the CUET UG 2026 data, 3 central universities list BA Spanish: JNU, EFLU and the University of Delhi (DU). The papers asked are English, Hindi and the General Aptitude Test.
The usual pattern is a language paper plus the General Aptitude Test. JNU asks for English and the General Aptitude Test, and both are compulsory. EFLU accepts any one of its 13 language papers with the General Aptitude Test. DU uses combinations: one language and three other subjects, or two languages and two other subjects.
Class 12 rules differ a little. JNU asks for 45% marks. EFLU asks for 50% with English as one of your subjects. DU's entry does not state a percentage, only that you must appear in CUET.
